Vietti produces renowned single-vineyard Barolos from sites including Brunate, Ravera, Rocche di Castiglione, and Lazzarito in the communes of Barolo and Castiglione Falletto. The winery was among the early pioneers of single-vineyard Barolo bottlings, with its Brunate Riserva first produced in 1961.

Vietti is based in the village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo zone of Piedmont in northwestern Italy. The family-owned estate has operated from this location since the 19th century and is one of the most respected producers in the Langhe region.

Alfredo Currado, who married into the Vietti family, drove the winery's modern reputation by bottling the estate's first single-vineyard Barolos in the early 1960s.
