description Wall Arch Overview

Wall Arch was a natural sandstone arch in the Devils Garden area of Arches National Park in southeastern Utah. The formation stood beside the Devils Garden trail and was shaped by erosion of Entrada Sandstone, the rock layer that produces many of the park's arches. Wall Arch collapsed during the night of August 4 or early August 5, 2008. The collapse was caused by natural weathering and left the site without the prominent opening that had previously been visible from the trail.
