Wave Rock

description Wave Rock Overview

Wave Rock is a curved granite formation near Hyden in Western Australia. About 15 metres high and 110 metres long, it has a concave profile resembling a breaking ocean wave, with bands and streaks on its face produced by weathering and runoff. The formation developed from the granite bedrock through long-term erosion and subsurface weathering, and it is a prominent natural landmark in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region.
