The white-eyed moray (Gymnothorax thyrsoideus) is a marine eel in the family Muraenidae. It occurs across the Indo-Pacific and is associated with tropical reefs, where morays commonly remain concealed during the day and forage at night. Its pale eyes and tan body are the main visible features used to distinguish it, and the species was first described in 1845.
