The yellow-edged moray (Gymnothorax flavimarginatus) is a large marine eel found across the tropical Indo-Pacific. Its body is commonly yellowish or brownish, while the dorsal and caudal fins have conspicuous yellow margins. The species lives around coral reefs and rocky reef structures, using holes and crevices as shelter. It is a member of the moray eel family Muraenidae and is mainly active after dark.
