The White-wedged Piculet, Picumnus albosquamatus, is a small woodpecker in the piculet subfamily of Picidae. It occurs in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay, using moderately dry cerrado, gallery forest, and related wooded habitats. Adults are brownish above and pale below, with dark flight feathers and white areas on the inner tail feathers; males have red-tipped forehead feathers, a feature absent in females.
