Titleist 915 D2 Driver

The Active Recoil Channel is a deep channel milled into the sole of the 915 D2 driver, running behind the leading edge of the face, that allows the sole and face to flex more at impact. Titleist designed it to increase ball speed and reduce spin, particularly on strikes low on the face, compared to the previous 913 D2 model.

The 915 D2 has a full-size 460cc head with higher MOI for maximum forgiveness, while the 915 D3 has a slightly smaller 440cc head with a deeper center of gravity designed for a more penetrating trajectory and enhanced shot-shaping control. The D3 is generally preferred by better ball-strikers, while the D2 targets a broader range of players.

The 915 D2 uses Titleist's SureFit Tour adjustable hosel, which provides 16 independent loft and lie angle settings via a dual-ring sleeve system. This same SureFit Tour technology was carried over from the earlier Titleist 913 and 910 driver series.

The Titleist 915 D2 driver launched in November 2014 as the successor to the 913 D2 in the Acushnet-owned Titleist driver lineup. It was itself replaced by the Titleist 917 series, which debuted in late 2016.
