[Enoploteuthis leptura](https://www.fao.org/4/i1920e/i1920e05.pdf), commonly called the hooked enope squid, is a species of enoploteuthid squid and the type species of the genus Enoploteuthis. The FAO species catalogue distinguishes it by two rows of hooks on the arms, seven rows of light organs on the underside of the mantle, and a tail-like mantle projection beyond the fin insertion. It can reach a mantle length of about 92 millimeters and is associated with the open-ocean mesopelagic zone.
