[Neorossia caroli](https://obis.org/taxon/141447), the Carol bobtail squid, is a species of bobtail squid in the family Sepiolidae. It was described by Joubin in 1902 and is an accepted species in current taxonomic databases, with Rossia caroli recorded as a synonym. It is a bottom-living deep-water cephalopod reported from the Atlantic and Mediterranean, with records in the Black Sea, where it occurs over muddy sediments; published depth ranges extend from roughly 40 to more than 1,500 meters.
