The Kolo rock paintings form part of the Kondoa Rock-Art Sites, a UNESCO World Heritage property located in the Kondoa District of central Tanzania. The sites contain hundreds of paintings on rock shelter walls and overhangs, created over thousands of years by hunter-gatherer and pastoralist communities. The artwork depicts animals, human figures, hunting scenes, and abstract symbols. The paintings are among the most extensively studied rock art concentrations in East Africa and have cultural significance for the Sandawe people.
