Lutz Jump vs Toe Loop Jump

The Lutz is a figure-skating jump named after Austrian skater Alois Lutz, who is credited with performing it in the early twentieth century. It is a toe-pick-assisted jump that takes off from a back outside edge and lands on the back outside edge of the opposite foot. Skaters may perform single, double, triple, or quadruple versions, with the number describing the rotations completed in the air.

The Toe Loop is a figure skating jump taken off from a back outside edge with a toe-pick assist and landed on the same edge, considered one of the easier jumps and often performed as the second jump in combinations.
