153 Hilda is an asteroid in the outer main belt discovered by Johann Palisa on 2 November 1875 at the Austrian Naval Observatory in Pula. It gives its name to the Hilda group, a dynamical population in a 3:2 mean-motion resonance with Jupiter; Hilda itself has a P-type spectrum, a diameter of roughly 170 kilometers, and an orbital period of about 7.9 years.
