190 Ismene is a large asteroid in the outer main belt discovered by Christian Heinrich Friedrich Peters on 22 September 1878 at Clinton, New York. It is a dark P-type body in the Hilda dynamical group and follows a roughly 3:2 mean-motion resonance with Jupiter; its diameter is estimated at about 160 kilometers, and its name refers to Ismene, the daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta and sister of Antigone in Greek mythology.
