Andreas Walsperger was a 15th-century Benedictine monk from the Salzburg region who created a circular world map at Constance in 1448. The manuscript, written in Latin on parchment, represents Europe, Asia, and Africa within a medieval Christian cosmological framework, with Jerusalem near the center and the map oriented toward the south. The surviving original is preserved in the Vatican Library.
