description Boeing 737 MAX Overview
The Boeing 737 MAX is a family of single-aisle, twin-engine passenger aircraft and the fourth generation of Boeing's 737 series. It entered airline service in 2017 and was developed for short- and medium-haul routes, with several variants of different lengths and passenger capacities. The aircraft was grounded worldwide from March 2019 until late 2020 after the crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, which killed 346 people in total; the accidents led to changes in flight-control software, pilot training, and regulatory oversight.
