Bossiney Cove

Bossiney Cove is located near the village of Tintagel on the north coast of Cornwall, England. It sits along a stretch of rugged Atlantic coastline known for its dramatic cliffs and geological formations.

Bossiney Cove is accessible only via a steep cliff-path descent, which can be challenging and is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties. The sandy beach is best visited at low tide, as the sea fills much of the cove at high tide.

Bossiney Cove has no lifeguard service and is quite secluded, so swimming is only advisable for experienced open-water swimmers who are aware of tides and currents. Visitors should check tide times carefully, as the cove becomes inaccessible at high tide.

Bossiney Cove is set within a dramatic collapsed sea cave, exposing striking rock formations along the cliff walls. The surrounding north Cornwall coastline near Tintagel is noted for its slate and volcanic geology, part of the same geological heritage that includes the nearby Tintagel Castle ruins.
