Brenda Zara Seligman was a British anthropologist who worked with her husband, Charles Seligman, on ethnographic surveys in Sri Lanka and Sudan. She studied languages, kinship, genealogies, and the lives of women and children, and coauthored The Veddas in 1911. The Royal Anthropological Institute gave her the Rivers Memorial Medal in 1933 for fieldwork in Ceylon and Sudan; she later maintained the Seligman collections.
