description Carrion Crow Overview

The carrion crow is a large member of the crow family, Corvidae, with entirely black plumage, a sturdy bill, and a broad geographic range across much of western and central Europe. Its scientific name is Corvus corone. It occupies farmland, woodland edges, coasts, and towns, and feeds opportunistically on carrion, invertebrates, seeds, eggs, and other available food.
