Dzibilchaltun is a major Maya archaeological site located in the northern Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, situated near the city of Mérida. It is distinguished by its exceptionally long period of continuous occupation, spanning from the Middle Preclassic period through the arrival of the Spanish. The site is most famous for the Temple of the Seven Dolls, a structure notable for its central doorways that align directly with the rising sun during the spring and autumn equinoxes. Today, the ruins also feature an adjacent museum and a large sinkhole, known as Cenote Xlacah.
