Elektro-L No.2 is a Russian geostationary meteorological satellite launched on December 11, 2015, aboard a Proton-M rocket with a Briz-M upper stage from Baikonur Cosmodrome. It is the second spacecraft in the Elektro-L series operated by Roscosmos, designed to provide multispectral imagery of Earth's surface and clouds alongside heliogeophysical monitoring data. The satellite operates from a geostationary orbit positioned over the Indian Ocean, supporting weather forecasting across Russia, Europe, Africa, and adjacent regions.
