description Exopalaemon modestus Overview
Exopalaemon modestus, commonly called the Siberian prawn, is a freshwater shrimp in the family Palaemonidae. It is native to parts of eastern Asia, with records from Siberia, Manchuria, Korea, China, Taiwan, and the Indo-West Pacific, and it has also been documented as a nonindigenous species in North America. The species is therefore relevant both to freshwater biodiversity records in its native range and to monitoring of introduced aquatic organisms. [U.S.
