Gotham FC

Gotham FC is actually based in the New York/New Jersey area, not Florida, and plays their home matches at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The club originally played at smaller locations like Yurcak Field in Piscataway before moving to their current professional stadium. They share the venue with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer.

Gotham FC defeated OL Reign 2-1 to win the 2023 NWSL Championship at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. The match was heavily publicized as the final professional game for legendary USWNT players Megan Rapinoe and Ali Krieger. Goals from Lynn Williams and Esther González secured the historic trophy for the club.

Gotham FC is a charter member of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), which is the top tier of women's professional soccer in the United States. They have competed in the league since its inaugural season in 2013. The team was originally known as Sky Blue FC before completely rebranding to Gotham FC in 2021.

Following their rebrand from Sky Blue FC in 2021, the club adopted a sleek color scheme featuring Gotham Black, Skyscape Blue, and Ironside Gray. The new branding was designed to pay homage to the gritty, resilient nature of the New York City metropolitan area. Their modern kits heavily reflect this urban aesthetic.
