Isometrus melanodactylus is a small scorpion in the family Buthidae, described by French arachnologist Eugène Simon in 1880. It is an Asian species and is associated with the common label house scorpion, a reference to small scorpions that may be encountered around human dwellings. Its venom is considered mild in comparison with that of medically important scorpions, although it remains a venomous animal and should not be handled.
