Kronåsen

description Kronåsen Overview

Kronåsen is a named section of the Uppsalaåsen, a glacial esker that runs through the Uppsala area of Sweden. The ridge segment lies north of Polacksbacken and is associated with the local landscape and history of Uppsala. At its summit stands a monument to Sten Sture the Elder, created by the Swedish sculptor Carl Milles and erected in 1925. The site is therefore both a geological landform and a local historical landmark.
