Lincoln Edge, also called Lincoln Cliff, is a limestone escarpment in Lincolnshire, England. The ridge is part of the Jurassic limestone landscape of the county and provides the elevated ground on which Lincoln's historic core developed. Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle stand on the edge, where the steep slope overlooks the surrounding lowlands. The term describes the geological ridge as well as the city's prominent site.
