Lolliguncula panamensis, the Panama brief squid, is a small coastal squid in the family Loliginidae. It is an eastern Pacific neritic species reported from Baja California to northern Peru, although the precise limits are not fully confirmed; it usually occurs in shallow water from 5 to 30 metres, within a reported range of 1 to 70 metres. Females reach about 11 centimetres in mantle length and males about 8 centimetres, and the diet is reported to consist mainly of fish and crustaceans.
