Lychnis Moth

description Lychnis Moth Overview

The Lychnis Moth (Hadena bicruris) is a nocturnal member of the family Noctuidae found across much of Europe and in parts of western Asia and North Africa. Females lay eggs in the flowers or developing seed capsules of campions and related plants in the pink family, and the caterpillars later consume the seeds. The breeding cycle is therefore closely tied to the flowering and seed production of its host plants.
