Olivia Harris (1948–2009) was a British anthropologist and a prominent scholar of Andean communities, particularly the Laymi people of Bolivia. Her academic work focused on political economy, feminist theory, and historical anthropology, examining how indigenous populations navigated colonial and modern structures. She spent much of her academic career teaching at the London School of Economics. Harris's ethnographic research provided deep insights into Andean concepts of kinship, labor, gender, and ritual.
