OpenDNS provides two well-known resolver addresses: 208.67.222.222 as the primary and 208.67.220.220 as the secondary. These can be entered in your router or individual device network settings to route DNS queries through OpenDNS. The addresses have remained the same since OpenDNS launched its free home resolver service.

Cisco Systems acquired OpenDNS in 2015 for approximately $635 million and integrated its DNS-layer security technology into what is now called Cisco Umbrella. The consumer-facing OpenDNS Home service and the free resolver IP addresses remain operational under Cisco's ownership. Enterprise customers were migrated to the Cisco Umbrella product line.
