Rhine Falls

The Rhine Falls, or Rheinfall in German, is located on the High Rhine river near the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland. It sits right on the border between the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zurich. The massive waterfall is easily accessible by train or car from major Swiss cities like Zurich.

During this time, the mountain snow melts, causing the water volume to peak at around 600,000 liters per second.
