description Rockhill House Overview

Rockhill House is a historic country house and estate near Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland. The Department of Defence occupied the main estate from the 1940s, and the property housed the Irish Army on a permanent basis from 1969 until the garrison closed in 2009. After a period of vacancy and decline, the house was refurbished and reopened as a country-house estate, so it is a former military site rather than an active barracks.
