Schmidtiellus is a genus of trilobites known from Lower Cambrian rocks in Estonia and Scandinavia. It belongs to an early phase of trilobite history on the paleocontinent Baltica, and its fossils are used in comparing and dating Cambrian sedimentary sequences in the region. The animal had the segmented exoskeleton and three-lobed body organization characteristic of trilobites, marine arthropods known entirely from the fossil record.
