Nevadella

description Nevadella Overview

Nevadella is a genus of olenellid trilobites from the Early Cambrian of western North America. Fossils assigned to the genus are used in regional biostratigraphy because their occurrence helps paleontologists correlate rock layers of similar age. Like other olenellids, Nevadella had a broad cephalon, a prominently segmented thorax, and no calcified facial sutures of the type found in many later trilobites.

insights Ranking position

Nevadella ranks #25 of 282 in the Trilobite ranking, behind Hollardops, ahead of Comura.
