Stone Mountain is a granite dome and monadnock in DeKalb County, Georgia, east of Atlanta. Its exposed rock surface contains a large bas-relief depicting Confederate figures Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis. The carving was completed in 1972 and forms part of a larger memorial complex that also includes a park, museum facilities, and a cable-car route.
