description That Ing Hang Overview
That Ing Hang is a Buddhist stupa in Savannakhet Province, southern Laos, generally dated to the sixteenth century and standing about nine metres high. Its structure includes a cubical base, three terraced levels, a Lao-style stupa, and a decorative umbrella, with later restoration carried out during the French colonial period. Buddhist tradition associates the monument with a relic of the Buddha and makes it a pilgrimage site for Lao and Thai Buddhists.
