The Tupolev Tu-154 is a Soviet three-engine passenger aircraft designed for medium-range airline routes. It entered service with Aeroflot in 1972 and became one of the most widely used airliners in the Soviet Union and later in several other countries. The aircraft has a low-wing layout, three rear-mounted engines, and a conventional tail-mounted horizontal stabilizer, with more than 1,000 examples produced.
