Columbella mercatoria, the dove shell or West Indian dovesnail, is a small marine gastropod in the family Columbellidae. It is native to the western tropical Atlantic, especially the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, and occurs in intertidal and shallow coastal habitats such as coral reefs, mangroves, lagoons, bays, rocky bottoms, sand, and seagrass. Its solid, oval to slightly cone-shaped shell has a short spire, a narrow aperture, and teeth along the inner edge of the outer lip and columella.
