Entoloma sinuatum

description Entoloma sinuatum Overview

Entoloma sinuatum, also called the livid entoloma or livid pinkgill, is a poisonous gilled fungus found in Europe and North America. Its pale gray to beige cap and initially pale gills can resemble edible mushrooms; the gills become pink as the spores mature, a key feature of the genus Entoloma. Eating it can cause severe gastrointestinal illness, and the species has been responsible for mushroom-poisoning incidents. [Species account](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entoloma_sinuatum)
