130 Elektra is a large outer main-belt asteroid and a quadruple asteroid system with three known natural satellites. Christian H. F. Peters discovered it at Litchfield Observatory in New York on February 17, 1873, and it was named after Electra, a figure in Greek mythology.

The primary is classified as G-type in the Tholen system and Ch-type in SMASS, and its multiple moons provide a way to study the mass and orbital dynamics of an asteroid system.
