description 150 Nuwa Overview
150 Nuwa is a large, dark C-type asteroid in the main belt, with an estimated diameter of about 147 km. Canadian-American astronomer James Craig Watson discovered it on 18 October 1875, and it was named after Nüwa, the creator goddess in Chinese mythology. Nuwa follows a solar orbit of about 5.15 years and is classified as carbonaceous from its spectrum.
