Bergeroniellus

description Bergeroniellus Overview

Bergeroniellus is an extinct early Cambrian trilobite genus known especially from the Siberian Platform. The genus is associated with regional Botomian biozones, including the Bergeroniellus gurarii Zone, and fossils occur in the Sinsk Formation near the Lena River. These named intervals are used to correlate Lower Cambrian strata and to place well-preserved Siberian fossil assemblages in time.
