Hawker's Cove

Hawker's Cove is a sheltered inlet at the mouth of the Camel Estuary near Padstow in Cornwall. Its position inside the estuary once provided a protected location for lifeboat operations.

The cove housed the Padstow lifeboat station because it offered access to the Camel Estuary and nearby coastal waters. The RNLI took control of the station in 1856.

Silting in the Camel Estuary made launching increasingly difficult. The lifeboat operation was later moved toward the open coast at Mother Ivey's Bay and Trevose Head.
