Mexican Duck

description Mexican Duck Overview

The Mexican Duck (Anas diazi) is a dabbling duck of the Mallard group found mainly in Mexico and in parts of the southwestern United States. It is generally brown overall, with a darker head and body than many Mallards, and the two sexes are relatively similar in appearance. Its taxonomic treatment has changed over time: some authorities have treated it as a Mallard subspecies, while others have recognized it as a separate species.
