Bailiella

description Bailiella Overview

Bailiella is an extinct Middle Cambrian genus of trilobites in the family Conocoryphidae, named by Matthew in 1885. It is recorded from European and Asian Cambrian strata, including Bohemian and Asian localities, and is associated with conocoryphid forms whose facial sutures lie near the cephalic margin and whose eyes are reduced or absent. The genus is useful in studying Cambrian faunal distribution and regional correlation.
