Fort Marlborough is a British colonial fort in Bengkulu, on the southwestern coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. The East India Company constructed the surviving fort between 1713 and 1719 to support British trade and military activity in the region. Its substantial walls, bastions, moat, and coastal position reflect the defensive needs of an eighteenth-century trading settlement.
