A front flip, also called a front somersault, is an aerial movement in which the body rotates forward through approximately 360 degrees before landing. It is practiced in gymnastics, diving, trampoline, tumbling, and other acrobatic disciplines. The skill can be performed from the floor or another apparatus and depends on takeoff power, forward rotation, body control, and a controlled landing.
