We had a hail storm, and the adjuster came to our house and stood on the ground and looked up at the steep roof of our two story home and said he couldn't see any hail damage. I know nothing about the shingles or what to look for but could see some damage standing right next to him. Needless to say we changed companies.

Do not recommend, I asked for full coverage when I started policy. Was told it was full coverage and covered everything. Well was in a accident and now they say it doesn't cover collision and said I have liability and not full coverage. I will be changing companies by next month.

The company is very fair, the employees at the office are helpful and courteous. I have not had a claim with them yet and hope not to but would not expect this to be a problem. Any questions that I have are answered in a knowledgeable manner. The cost of insurance is very affordable. It is very easy to pay using debit or credit online and get my ID cards to print. No running to the office or making sure I put something in the mail only to hope it arrives and on time. I am looking forward to combining all my policies with Shelter.

Great customer service I have had to file one claim due to storm damage. They made the process so easy and quick went above and beyond to help.

The agent was very helpful as I selected the proper coverage for my homes. Shelter's rates are fair. Application was processed very quickly.

I never had a claim with shelter so i cannot comment on their process. Shelter requires homeowner policy holders to purchase their auto policy from their company. Their homeowner policies are priced much lower than other companies but their car insurance is quite a bit higher. If you add a teenager to your auto policy the rate literally doubles. It was cheaper for me to switch companies and pay A lot more for homeowners insurance than to add a teenager at shelter.

I recently had an accident and getting information from the company regarding the status of my claim was extremely difficult. Overall, my dealings with the agent are pleasant, but receiving updates from the claims department was a nightmare.
