description Cupro Overview
Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fiber made primarily from cotton linters, the short fibers left on cottonseed after ginning. In the cuprammonium process, purified cellulose is dissolved using a copper-ammonia solution and then regenerated as fine filaments, so the finished material is plant-derived but industrially manufactured. Cupro fabrics are smooth, drape readily, and absorb moisture, which makes them common in garment linings, dresses, blouses, and other lightweight apparel.
