Kayako Classic is the legacy version of the Kayako platform. It is a self-hosted, PHP-based help desk that was once the industry standard. While it is still used by many organizations, it is largely considered a legacy product that has been superseded by modern SaaS alternatives. It is stable and feature-rich, but it lacks the modern UI, integrations, and ease of use of newer platforms.
It is only recommended for organizations that have a long-standing investment in the platform and are not ready to migrate to a modern solution.
