description PlanGrid Overview
Built for construction work, PlanGrid centers on giving site teams access to project drawings and related records from mobile devices. It became part of Autodesk's construction software offering and is associated with the development of Autodesk Construction Cloud. Drawing management helps teams work from shared project information, while annotations and photo documentation connect observations on site with the relevant plans. Its field workflows include punch lists and tracking requests for information, helping contractors record unfinished work and resolve questions about construction documents.
Mobile access is a defining part of its appeal because information needs to remain usable away from a desk. PlanGrid suits construction teams coordinating office and field work, although availability and the relationship with newer Autodesk products should be checked for a particular deployment.
